Description
PROCESS OPERATOR – REFINERY ( 2 VACANCIES)
Acacia Mining seeks to employ two Process Operators – Refinery based at Bulyanhulu Mine. These roles report to the Refinery First Line Leader and the role holders will be accountable for refinery activities (operation of the Acacia Reactor, Knelson Concentrators etc.).
This is a permanent role, with the work roster being fourteen (14) days on and seven (7) days off.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies of BGML, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines.
• To maintain and keep confidential all refinery information, including schedules, activities, equipment layout, building layout, gold information and passwords
• To comply with the Gold Security Standard at all times
• To operate the Acacia reactor and the Knelson concentrators to achieve optimum gold recovery
• Electrowinning Cells Cleaning
• Sludge filtration
• Calcining
• Flux preparation
• Smelting
• To take part in the bullion boxing process and the gold shipment process as required
• Ensure accurate operation of equipment, including the electrowinning cells, filters, smelting furnaces, calcining oven and weighing balances through regular maintenance and calibration.
• Ensure calibration and services are performed with high priority as per schedule.
• Ensure all refinery reagents and consumables are arranged and stored properly with their respective labels.
• To maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping in the refinery, including the gravity circuit, Acacia reactor building, and electrowinning section, ensuring that all equipment is cleaned and well maintained
• To contribute actively, think critically, support peers
• To complete tasks on time and to standard
• To concentrate and collaborate
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification Requirements:
• Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education
• Mineral Processing Qualification / Certificate will be advantageous
• Police / Security Clearance
Experience Requirements:
• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, including previous work experience in the mining industry

This role reports to the Commercial Manager and the role holder will be accountable to provide leadership and services that deliver industry best practices in Information Technology to meet current and future business needs.
This is a permanent role, with the work roster being six weeks on and three weeks off.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Optimize the level of IT services to deliver value
• Deliver adequate IT Services for site departments and units
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
• Maintain core hardware availability
• Oversees all help desk activities at the site level and ensure timely helpdesk calls resolution
• Motivates the team to work together in the most efficient manner
• Maintain network availability (Wired and wireless)
• Implements network security at the site level as established by the corporate team
• Ensure TV System Availability
• End users hardware availability
• Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting site infrastructure
• Works with project teams to help implement Internal Systems
