Data Entry Officer Application Deadline: 16 Feb 2016
We are looking for a fast data entry Officer to manage effectively large amounts of information. The target is to insert, update and maintain accurate data on computer systems. To enter data from various source documents into the computer system for storage, processing and data management purposes. Duties and responsibilities
• Enter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and forms
• To make or receive calls from various operational units regarding purchase orders
• Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
• Obtain further information for incomplete documents
• Transcribe information into required electronic format
• Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
• Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
• Print information when required
• Scan documents into document management systems or databases
• Transcribe information into required electronic format
• Maintain own office equipment and stationery supplies
Qualifications and Experience
• Form IV and Certificate in Data Entry from a recognized institution
• Should have at least one year of experience
• Familiarity with Word Processors, Excel, spreadsheets and other related data programs.
• Typing speed and accuracy
• Comfortable using all sorts of input devices like keyboard, scanners and other such devices used for specialized data entry tasks.
• Able to work as part of a team
• knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
