SENIOR FRAUD OFFICER ( 1 POSITION – RE ADVERTISED)
Tanzania Postal Bank (TPB) seeks to appoint dedicated, self motivated and highly organized Senior
Fraud Officer (1 position) to join the Legal services team. The work station is Dar es Salaam
Reporting Line: Chief Manager Fraud
Locations: Dar es Salaam
Work Schedule: As per TPB Staff regulations
Division: Legal Services
Salary: Commensurate to the Job Advertised
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-
To carry out fraud Investigations within the bank.
Documenting all investigative processes.
Recommending actions in fraud cases.
To advise the superiors on matters relating to fraud.
To ensure that culprits of fraud are reported to the respective law enforcement Agencies.
To gather evidence on fraud and file cases with the Public Prosecutors and ensure that culprits are prosecuted.
To coordinate prosecution of criminal cases.
To make follow ups in all branches on loans which have been fraudulently
obtained and report to the relevant law enforcement authority with a view to recover the outstanding loan.
To prepare a record of all fraud cases under the court of law or the police.
Prepare reports on fraud caseloads and dispositions.
To evaluate fraud risk both internal and external and identify the potential Fraudsters.
Conduct awareness on fraud prevention to staff so as to prevent occurrence of
fraud incidents within the bank.
In collaboration with Chief Manager Fraud, draft quarterly performance report of the Department of Fraud.
To perform any other duties as assigned by superior

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Education: Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B);Applicant must demonstrate sound knowledge in
cyber crimes, criminal law and criminal justice administration system.
He/she must be a registered Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in fraud investigation.
Experience in cyber crimes investigation, prosecution or police background will be
added advantage.
