We are pioneers in a frontier market, so we need a combination of apps for users across the business. Information about the performance of the business needs to be easy to access so that we can make the right strategic decisions to meet our target of electrifying 4 million households by 2020.
You
You are a frontend developer (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) with a real passion for web development and emerging technologies. You should also believe in BBOXX's mission. You take pride in developing well-designed and well-tested software. You will be part of our growing DESCO frontend team, working in our light and airy Chiswick office.
As a Frontend Developer on our team, your daily work will include:

• Engaging with different units within the organization working on a range of projects for frontend development
• Turn the company's UI/UX designs and aspirations into reality by using modern client-side technologies
• Demonstrate expertise on client-side development, from JavaScript coding practices, CSS management, build, test, deployment, version management, error handling, UX feedback/logging.
• Maintaining the sites/applications and bug fixing.
• Suggesting and implementing enhancements of the sites/applications to meet customer needs

Requirements
You should have all of:

• 2+ years' industry experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience of developing web applications, not just websites
• Experience using Web Frameworks (HTML5 Boilerplate, Twitter Bootstrap, etc.)
• Passion for Front End technologies and a desire to learn new JavaScript frameworks (React, Jasmine, Angular, Grunt, HTML, CSS, Node)
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, etc.).
• Experience developing and deploying REST based APIs.
• Experience developing cross browser compatible solutions

And ideally some of:

• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices;
• Experience developing using Typescript
• One or more of the following Javascript frameworks / libraries - Node.JS, Express, Angular, Backbone, Knockout, Ember
• Experience using Git, JIRA, Jenkins and AWS
