Terms Of Reference-Ruaha Water Programme Consultant
WWF is implementing Sustainable Water Access, Use and Management Programme (SWAUM) that aims at achieving sustainable water resources management in the Great Ruaha River Catchment area through application of Integrated Water Resources Management (lWRM) principles and approaches. The organization is seeking to recruit a short term qualified consultant, for a period of six months effective August 2016 to be able facilitate Scaling-Up and Replicating SWAUM's 'Governance' Findings.
The consultant will be engaged in two major tasks :
(i) Scaling-up SWAUM's 'Catchment Governance' recommendations (nationally i.e. across all basins, nationally): major activities. This task will include development of high quality promotional materials, convening meetings for influencing policy makers, carrying public awareness through public debates, electronic and print media
(ij) strengthening and replication within catchment including
Catchment-wide promotional workshop on integration challenges of 'catchment governance' and catchment learning; Facilitation & contributions to launch of 'Water & Climate Culture of Change' campaign; production & dissemination of popular version (e.g. Swahili) of Rufiji Basin - IWRM Development Plan; and Strengthening/consolidation of planned Collaborative initiatives (Cis) and/or facilitation of new CIs (i.e. replication) in new areas
