Job Purpose:
To
minimize operational risk through up-to-date reconciliation of Nostro
and suspense accounts and timely clearance of outstanding items.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure all assigned Nostro accounts are reconciled on daily basis with proper details of all outstanding transaction narrated.
- Conduct a periodic reconciliation of assigned GL suspense and ensure proper details narrated for outstanding entries.
- Follow up of timely clearance of outstanding transactions within 7 days.
- Ensure reconciliation statements are countersigned by supervisors.
- Produce periodical reports to the management on status of reconciliations.
- Verify the genuineness of outstanding transactions by requesting copies of vouchers of relative large amounts.
- Monitor movements for assigned GL suspense accounts and request clarifications from originator of transaction.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by your supervisor.
- Maintenance of Bank assets register for assigned categories and ensuring balances agree with GL.
Qualifications and Experience:
The position requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum University Degree in Business/Accounting or related fields
- Master’s Degree in business related fields will be added advantage
- One (1) years’ experience in Finance / Reconciliations.

Job Purpose:

role holder is responsible to provide objective and independent
assurance on efficiency and effectiveness of the banks internal controls
and governance in mitigating current and evolving risks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess & document key risks and controls within business processes.
- Conduct execution of the audit strategies to assess design and operating effectiveness of controls.
- Preparing Audit reports detailing audit findings, management comments and agreed management actions to remediate control weaknesses/gaps identified.
- Follow up on closure of reported audit findings by to ensure timely implementation of the agreed action and assess effectives of controls implemented.
- Perform issue closure validation to assess whether management has successfully implemented the agreed actions and the initial reported risk is mitigated.
- Continuous Business Monitoring to identify current and emerging risks and relevant management mitigating controls.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the internal audit team and business stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
The position requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum University Degree in Business Administration/Finance/accounting
- Professional Qualification in CPA/ACCA is required.
- Other qualifications like CISA/CIA will be an added advantage.
- A Masters in Business Administration is an added advantage.
- 2-3 years’ experience in External and Internal Audit.

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to provide timely, accurate payment to suppliers, proper posting and recording of payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and cross-checking proper supporting to all invoices and claims brought to finance before forwarding them to approval channel.
- Proper recording of invoices / claims and forward them to the proper approving channel.
- Writing cheques to suppliers, disbursing cheques and TT copies to supplier timely.
- Preparing journal vouchers, posting journal vouchers in the systems with proper usage of account lines and proper cost allocation per unit, recording posted entries in the payment register and properly filling of all authorized vouchers in respective files.
- Advising head of units the cost incurred by their unit on weekly basis.
- Proper posting of salary entries, accrual and amortization entries 4 days before month end with proper allocation of cost per cost centre.
- Assist in Reconciliation of all finance suspense accounts, prepayment accounts and provision accounts to ensure all amortization and Accrual for expenses are accurately posted to the GL.
- Making statutory payments before deadlines, reconciling all statutory payments suspense accounts timely and assisting branches on day to day postings.
- Defining daily exchange rate in Oracle system, uploading all T24 extract files in Oracle system on daily basis.
- Replying and responding timely to all queries from internal, external auditors and from other regulators.
Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree qualification in fields of Business Accounting.
- Professional Qualifications including Master’s Degree in business Administration will be added advantage
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in finance operations

Operations Risk Manager Job at KCB BANK TANZANIA
Job Purpose:
To support Risk Management activities to ensure efficiencies in the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing new risk measures, systems and reports and participate in UAT testing of new systems
- Implement and manage the entire procedure for incident identification, investigation, analysis and reporting
- Bring to life the use of risk management tools (KRIs, RCSA, Dash Boards, Risk Heat Maps)
- Support the process of establishing risk registers at corporate level and departmental /branch levels for sustainable focus on top risks of the bank
- Draft operational risk reports for submission to Head of Risk for review to facilitate active risk oversight
- Proactively monitoring and reporting on profitability, Liquidity, Market and Capital Management of the bank.
- Coordinate and consistently track, follow up all issues raised and/or those which arise during reviews carried internal/ external auditors, group auditors.
- Oversee development of business continuity plans for developed solutions in line with existing policy
- Organize various risk workshops, proactive engage key stakeholders and raise awareness on various risk management initiatives
- Ensure the business is proactively identifying, registering, measuring, accepting and monitoring risk across end to end processes
