Human Resources cum Industrial Relation Officer (1 Post)
Purpose of the Position
This position is responsible for facilitating corporate support and effective management of the human resource functions in the organization.
The Successful candidate will be based in Dar Es Salaam and will report to Human Resources Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
Effective Management of Industrial Relations at the Work place
Ensure compliance on Employment and labour relation act 2004
Resolve conflicts and maintain staff discipline at the work place.
Coordinate Disciplinary Hearings and advice the
Management on right measures
Provide guidance to fairly terminate the employment of employees which is in conformity with applicable laws(ELRA 2004)
Handle all company legal related matters
Custodian of Corporate DNA and ensure 100 compliance (living the Company DNA).
Monitoring Employees attendance including absenteeism, attendance and act accordingly by putting right mechanism in place to track the same.
Ensure the disciplinary module on HRMIS is 100% live and offer support to users Training and Development.
Conducting Training needs and analysis annually and advice the HR Manager on training gaps and priorities
Establish and monitor adherence of annual training calendar
Compilation of data and analysis past and current year training requirements to prepare budgets and justify funds requested.
Assist the HR Manager in formulating training policies, programmes and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or change in products,
procedures and services.
Co-ordinate established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by external trainers.
Carry out post-training evaluation to determine effectiveness of both internal and external training programs’ implemented in AAR.
Produce return on investment reports and advice the management accordingly
Ensure employees write post training reports to monitor the value added on the said training.
Accumulate training materials from the attended trainings and create folder to re use the material internally with other staff who did not attend the training.
Ensure Training and development module on HRMIS is 100% live Performance Management.
Ensure effective Performance Management of the company
Development and Implementation of performance management programs
Preparation of quarterly performance management reports and share with the team.
Prepare Balance Score Card (BSC) annual timetable and ensure strict adherence of the same
Monitor and facilitate Employees performance improvement plans and act accordingly
Prepare quarterly BSC analysis ,advise and taking right measures on performers and non
Communicate and create awareness on Corporate score card and ensure implementation
Align Corporate targets with Balanced score cards and liaise with Finance Department to ensure adherence and advise the management on status
Ensure the Performance management module on
HRM IS is 100% live
Effective HR administration management.
Ensure that employees records and particulars are updated
Assist employees administrative issues such us facilitation of introductory letters i.e Bank issues,
Immigration issues, Police issues timely.
Management of employee records
Establish and create annual calendar of event, share with the team and monitor adherence.
Attend to staff queries timely
Prepare and distribute the employees’ handbook and ensure periodic update of the same
Make sure AIT staff have Identification cards
Update staff records once per annum.
Any other duties that the supervisor may deem fit in furtherance of the objectives of the Human Resources department and the entire company.
Skills/attributes Education
Degree/Advanced Diploma in HR Management, Industrial relation or Law.
Minimum 3 – 4 years hands on experience in HR Management and Administration
Team player and human relations skills, strong analytical approach to problem solving, good communication skills
Decisiveness
Positive and can do attitude
English – written and oral.
