Tasks and responsibilities
In the context of the IT Division plan of work, in coordination and under the supervision of the Team Leader the incumbent will establish the standards and procedures for the design and development of Business Intelligence solutions based on corporate BI Platform and actively participate in design and development activities delivering a range of BI solutions, running in parallel and with strict deadlines.
Functions / Key Results Expected
- Deliver a suitable technical configuration of all technical components of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), keeping it constantly aligned with the ongoing evolvement of required BI capabilities, including upgrades and migration of the OBIEE platform to its more recent releases
- Establish and execute suitable procedures regarding development, testing and production switch-over of BI functionality
- Deliver agreed BI development activities ensuring that standards and requirements are met, working especially in domain of OBIEE back-end repository including physical, business and presentation layers
- Deliver suitable technical documentation for all deliverables, procedures and services in the BI domain.
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members regarding the FAO BI development procedures and the BI tool functionality used
- Collaborate with IT Operation to ensure that features and capacity of all BI infrastructure components are aligned with the expected workload and demand and that all IT security issues are properly considered
- As appropriate, collaborate with other team members to explore other business intelligence and data mining techniques to enhance capabilities for data analytics
- Regularly report on the status of activities to the Team Leader and other relevant parties using standard divisional procedures and tools
- Perform any other tasks to ensure that Decision Support at various levels is underpinned by relevant Business Intelligence Solutions

Candidates should meet the following requirements: Minimum Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics or other technical discipline
- Ability to work under pressure and with very strict deadlines
- Ability to assimilate and analyze information efficiently and effectively
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team environment
- Strong focus on results
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Proven track record in delivering end to end BI solutions using Oracle Business Intelligence Platform (OBIEE)
- Expert knowledge in the management of Oracle Business Intelligence platform, including OBI Repository, OBI Web Catalogue, and OBI Development tools
- Ability to write clear technical documentation
- Solid understanding of relational database design and data warehousing methodologies
- A minimum of 5 years of Business Intelligence technical implementation experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE)

Additional Information
Payment conditions: the daily honorarium will be paid monthly on when-actually-employed basis and will be defined depending on relevant qualifications and work experience up to within a range from 210 USD to 300 USD.
Schedule of work: The incumbent will be required to work and be present on the premises during the standard office hours of the duty station (from 8.30 till 17.00 for HQ), unless otherwise agreed with the supervisor. The working time will be reported in the internal timesheet system.
