Background / General description
IFC is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in developing countries. IFC HR Client Services function addresses IFC specific business needs with dedicated teams. The WBG HRD has four core roles designed to provide leading-edge services to a globally dispersed workforce, while reinforcing line managers' responsibility for people management: Global HR Client Teams, to lead the design of workforce strategies and plans, drive the diversity and inclusion agenda, and support the implementation of HR processes and policies within their client organizations: Global HR Centers of Expertise (CoEs), to design and support the implementation of improved HR processes, practices, programs and tools, inculcating the Bank Group's diversity and inclusion agenda within their scope of expertise for use across their client organizations. CoEs work with Global Business Partners and client organizations to deliver products which meet the business needs of their client organizations Global HR Shared Services, to produce measurable results by providing technology and service solutions that create capacity, build strategic capability, enhance staff experience, drive operational excellence and enable value creation for the World Bank Group. HR Shared Services is responsible for strategic development and management of HR Operations, HR technology and Global Mobility services for the World Bank Group Corporate HR connects these three roles through strategy, governance and resource management, ensuring alignment The role of IFC Human Resource function is to support IFC to achieve its business goals through specialized implementation of HR policies and processes that support the attraction, retention, deployment and development of IFC staff members. In order to meet business need, IFC is seeking to recruit one Human Resources Analysts to work with the HR Client Services team. The HR Analyst will partner very closely with HR Account Managers and HR Program Assistants in the delivery and flawless execution of HR products and services to IFC clients. He/ She will strengthen the team's ability to provide value-added advice to managers and staff regarding policy application in all areas of Human Resources. In addition, the HR Analyst will provide analytical support, manage HR databases, assure data accuracy, develop and maintain HR information and reporting systems, and support staff in matters concerning recruitment, mobility, performance management, training and career development. He/she will be responsible for supporting the implementation of HR Programs.

If the selected candidate is a current Bank Group staff member with a Regular or Open-Ended appointment, s/he will retain his/her Regular or Open-Ended appointment. All others will be offered a 4 year term appointment.
Duties and Accountabilities
Using the existing HR information systems, conduct general research, analysis and interpretation of data; provide information regarding staffing issues and prepare summary reports and presentations as needed to strengthen HR's support to IFC's business objectives and global footprint.
  • This includes not only data retrieval but also interpretation and write-up of analysis and recommendations on an independent basis with minimum supervision.
  • In consultation with relevant subject matter experts, troubleshoot and problem-solve process and data issues when they arise and develop quality assurance practices to catch and resolve issues Work across the teams to assist in the development of best practice reports, presentations, metrics that create consistent approaches and practices in these areas.
  • Support HR Department's initiative to improve data quality and accuracy in systems Coach and mentor junior colleagues on high level analytics and data reporting; and provide back-up for other HR analysts in the team.
  • Design innovative and customized reports on the basis of assessed client needs to fill information gaps and enable strategic decision making.
  • Using developed templates, tools and systems to manage HR processes, support client teams with the delivery and implementation of key HR products, processes and services such as: performance management, talent management, recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, Diversity and Inclusion etc.
  • Prepare regular staffing analyses, formal reports, briefs, or presentations to the team and or for guidance to clients.
  • In collaboration with the relevant Human Resources Account Manager provide guidance to staff on career development, compensation, benefits, and other HR related issues in a prompt manner;
  • Develop a strong understanding of the rationale underlying HR policies to guide clients in the interpretation of such policies & procedures. Support the implementation of HR Programs and deliverables in IFC

OTHER SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a similar field and 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of years and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and tools Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis; able to articulate issues and recommend solutions to aid management in decision-making. Possesses strong business acumen.
  • Solid knowledge of core HR areas: compensation benefits, strategic staffing, performance management, career development, staffing and recruitment, and case management Pro-active and possesses ability to anticipate data analytics needs based on issues Presented.
  • Proficiency in all HR Systems and Microsoft Windows applications, namely Excel, Word and Power Point, including advanced spreadsheet design, lookup tables, manipulation, and analysis skills.
  • Demonstrates professional integrity, willingness and flexibility to 'roll-up your sleeves' to engage in all aspects of HR work from identification and design to implementation.
  • Strong oral and written communications and presentation skills, ability to translate complex data for a variety of audiences, and experience with preparing client-ready materials. Strong quality control orientation; attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Exhibits excellent team skills, ability to collaborate and share knowledge with colleagues and clients at all levels.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with counterparts across departments and the World Bank Group.
