Purpose of the Position
- Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager and working closely with colleagues in SCSC and the Supply Division, the incumbent will support the development of country-level in-country logistics management strategies with direct impact on programme results.
- The incumbent will use his/her technical knowledge and specialized experience to support country offices to best use the UNICEF Logistics Management Information Systems, providing technical input and developing new enhancements in order to best fit the business processes.
- The incumbent will also contribute improvement of the global performance in the realm of logistics activities, providing regular monitoring and analysis to SD management as well as Country office and Regional offices to take appropriate and timely corrective measure.
- Provide technical and operational support to Country Offices in Logistics Management Information Systems (SAP) through trouble-shooting and technical input to VISION (UNICEF's SAP system) enhancements and business processes.
- To ensure that work instructions are updated and the latest enhancements/ updates are reflected.
- Review of Toolkit and work Instructions, and thereafter periodic reviews to make the toolkit more user friendly, more interactive, preparing webinars, sharing sessions...
- Perform periodic monitoring and analysis of the programme supplies at the global level to identify concerns and areas of improvements, based on agreed indicators. Suggest new indicators and measures to further improve the existing monitoring tools of programme supplies.
- Provide input to ICL procedures and guidance to ensure coherence with other policies and VISION workflow and update/ create VISION workflow accordingly
- Maintain and update the existing ICL page on the intranet. Liaise with the Knowledge Sharing and Solutions Unit to engage and encourage the supply community to visit the ICL intranet page for any reference materials.
- Support the In-Country Logistics team in planning, coordinating and conducting trainings for UNICEF staff as well as implementing partner.
- The candidate will work under general guidance of the Logistics Manager, In-Country Logistics and shall attend to other relevant tasks, beyond those listed above, as assigned by the Logistics Manager, In-Country Logistics.

Education:
- A completed 1st University Degree (Bachelor's Degree) in Logistics or Business is required. Additional education in engineering disciplines would be an advantage.
- Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience in Logistics, warehousing and inventory management is required. Proven expertise in carrying out complex analysis of reports extracted from SAP is required.
- Fluency in English is required. Fluency in another UN language is an advantage.
