Academic, following NECTA system from Form I – Form IV; and serving younger vulnerable girls in Std 6 and 7
Education for Life, to help girls gain confidence, communicate assertively and learn various leadership skills;
Entrepreneurship, with business and savings clubs and technical skills training to assist girls develop practical skills;
English Fluency, supplementing the national curriculum, focusing on spoken communication
Sustainability, including organic gardens, honey processing and campus guest house
The SEGA Head of School is the overall in-charge of the school, responsible for maintaining quality programs, building a cohesive team of staff, and ensuring students’ best interest and well-being at all times. SEGA’s program is unique, with diverse, holistic activities in place, strong support of national and international donors, and a student population from several regions of Tanzania, the majority of whom are vulnerable girls on full scholarship.
Post-Graduate Diploma or MA in Education, or Education Administration
7 years or more experience in school leadership positions
Commitment to the organization’s mission and vision of serving vulnerable girls in a safe environment
Excellent teambuilding, communication, and organizational skills
Excellent spoken and written English
Ability to represent the school to donors at all levels
