Purpose of the Position
The IT Assistant supports users to ensure that effective and efficient solutions are provided to all incidents and queries on IT infrastructure and services. Provides identity and access management support for global services including Office 365 and SAP. Facilitates communication between users, Subject Matter Experts and IT Management. Escalates incidents from users; maintains relevant documentation on known issues, processes and procedures for the Global Help Desk. In addition, the IT Assistant is expected to handle other tasks or projects assigned by the supervisor to support the unit.
Key Accountabilities and Duties & Tasks
1. Provide Access Management support.
- Provide global user support on systems account administration (create, maintain, delete and troubleshoot) for the following systems, according to established processes/procedures/ practice:
- Active Directory, Office 365, Lotus Notes, and Intranet.
- Remote access.
- HRIS, MIR/BIR.
- Workgroup Management.
- Ensure that all activities are undertaken in line with best practices with specific focus on incident and problem management.
- Provide support on system account administration for SAP systems and for Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC tool) by performing the below tasks according to established procedures and business processes:
- Create, maintain, unlock/lock and reset accounts; assign authorization profiles/functional roles either via SAP or GRC tool.
- Remediate or mitigate Sensitive Access and Segregation of duties, violations through the GRC tool.
- Troubleshoot system maintenance of GRC tool.
- Test, troubleshoot and maintain functional job roles in SAP.
- Ensure transports of authorization job roles to relevant SAP.
- Manage SAP licenses as per business policy and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot system maintenance of GRC tool.

- Monitor authorization group assignment of in-house-developed ABAP programs, and take corrective action when needed.

- Liaise with Computer Focal Points and Local Site Administrators in all locations on resolution of common incidents/issues.
- Work closely with Problem Management for incidents that have no workarounds or solutions (monitor incidents, provide feedback/recommendations, etc.).
- Ensure application/compliance of IT guidelines, established processes and procedures by all team members.
- Manage all aspects of escalation to immediate supervisor, or IT Officer (Customer Service) or Chief of IT Operations.
- In the absence of manager, may be tasked to be OIC and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Global Help Desk
- Statistical reports on systems access.
- Escalation/exceptions reports.
- Audit report and Critical transaction reports in SAP/GRC.
- Ensure Help Desk processes and procedures, with particular emphasis on technical issues/ administration processes and procedures categorized per system are documented and kept up to date.
- Perform any other relevant duties requested by supervisor.
- Completion of secondary education is a minimum requirement.
- University level courses in computer science, information systems, engineering, telecommunications, and equivalent qualifications are desirable.
- Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft Suite of Products (MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint) is required.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Windows server and client operating systems (Windows 2012, 7 and 8) is required.
- ITIL Certificate or equivalent Customer Support Certification is an asset.
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience in information technology (IT) is required. A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards the minimum work experience requirement.
- Work experience with a development organization is an asset.
- Knowledge of UN/UNICEF'S rules, regulations and procedures is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required. Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is considered an asset. Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is an asset.
- Non - Hungarian citizens must be in possession of a work permit or be nationals of EU countries. Please note that General Service (GS) staff are locally recruited staff and therefore, candidates are personally responsible for any travel and accommodation arrangements. UNICEF does not facilitate MFA accreditation for locally recruited staff.

- Based on the Organization's requirements of services at the time of appointment, contract durations may range from five and a half months up to one year. - Monthly emoluments will be made in the local currency, the Hungarian Forint.
- Onboarding dates will be determined on a case by case basis contingent on the business needs of the center.
- Successful candidates may be expected to assume their new duties within thirty (30) days from the acceptance of the offer of appointment.
