This is a job traineeship and the monthly salary is Euro 1,019.08. The contract will be for a period of eleven months. Bioversity International is a global research-for-development organization. Position Description
Job Description
Based in Maccarese, Rome, under the supervision of the Grants Administration Manager, the Job Trainee will assist in the overall management of the portfolio of institutional research grants and sub-grants to research partners. The incumbent will specifically perform the following tasks: - Support the preparation of grants-related documents (donor reports, no-cost extensions, grant agreements and agreement revisions); - Support the preparation and review of sub-granting documentation (Letters of Agreement, no-cost extensions, etc.); - Support the day-to-day administration of ongoing grants; - Assist with the coordination of signatures of donor contracts, contract amendments and sub-granting agreements; - Assist with tracking and monitoring of grants-related key events and documents on the Grants Database; - File grants-related documentation; - Support the design and implementation of improved filing systems; - Support the development of new templates for grants and sub-grants administration.
Minimum Qualification & Experience
Essential qualifications & competencies
First-level university degree in a relevant field (political science, international relations, development studies, economics and administration); Previous experience interning or working in an office; Working knowledge of relevant software packages (Excel, Word, databases); Working knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken; Desirable qualifications and competencies Second-level university degree in a relevant field; Courses in project management, administration, fundraising, grant-writing; Work experience in an international environment (NGOs, international organizations); Knowledge of Spanish or French.

Good interpersonal, communications and teamwork skills; courtesy and tact, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of different cultural and national backgrounds; Good skills in personal organization and priority setting; Good client orientation and service approach; Good time management skills and attention to details.
