ICT Officer
(a) Qualifications and Experience
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; Telecommunication; Electrical Engineering; or related computer studies.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities:
Software Systems Developers
• Assist in capturing user Customer Requirement Specifications- CRS
• Supports systems analysis and design
• Assist in implementing software systems (Write and document code)
• Supports systems testing (Software validation & verification) and document test results.
• Support system configurations
• Assist in conducting user acceptance test
• Participate in design review and provide input for user documentation
• Liaise with user support staff in supporting end users
• Maintain and Support various business process applications
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Computer System Administration
• Analyse User Requirements
• Implement systems software (Write and document code)
• Perform testing of system configurations
• Conducting user acceptance test
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Network Administrator
• Design, install and configure LAN and WAN infrastructure;
• Review LAN and WAN architecture;
• Test network equipment and devices;
• Implement network security guidelines; and
• Perform network troubleshooting.
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Multimedia Officers
• Participate in iterative development with users;
• Create and produce multimedia content;
• Manage multimedia tools and equipment;
• Assist in selecting appropriate multimedia software and hardware tools;
• Provide technical support to multimedia systems’ users; and
• Supports Multimedia devices and equipment
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Web Applications Developers
• Develop and Test web pages;
• Update and manage web site;
• Manage web server;
• Implement security policy for web site; and
• Support end users
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Database Administrators
• Design, develop, implement and test Database;
• Develop back and front-end connectivity;
• Implement security policy and access control;
• Maintain physical organization of database objects;
• Provide Database Client and User Services;
• Perform Database Administration and Maintenance; and
• Support end users.
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
ICT Systems Security Officers
• Ensure software patches are implemented timely;
• Install, configure, and update antivirus software;
• Alert users on various security risks, threats and vulnerabilities;
• Perform systems audit on regular basis;
• Implement security mechanisms and controls;
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
(c) Salary Scale: PGSS 7.1
