What are we looking for?

We are not just looking for the most successful women entrepreneurs financially. We want to hear inspirational stories of women making a difference across the Commonwealth in any area of business.
Although we are especially interested to hear about business entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurship nominations are welcome.
You can nominate yourself or someone who inspires you.
Anyone can be nominated for the Award. The only restriction is that the winner must be a national of or resident in one of the 53 Commonwealth member countries.
In addition to the financial success of the business, the judging criteria will take into account the entrepreneur’s journey, overcoming adversity, inspiring others, making a difference to community, social impact and international reach especially but not limited to the Commonwealth.

The Prize

The four finalists will be invited to the 1st Commonwealth Women’s Forum during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta with complimentary access to the Women’s Forum and accomodation in five star hotel provided by the Government of Malta. The winner will be announced at an Awards Ceremony during the Gala Dinner on 23rd November.
The winner will act as a Brand Ambassador for Commonwealth Businesswomen until the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Vanuatu in November 2017 and will join the Judging Panel for the next Award.

Role Profile
The role holders will be responsible for providing legal advice in the area of regulatory compliance, litigation, contracts management and other legal advisory services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Possess current year’s practicing certificate
• 3 years post-admission work experience in a commercial bank or a busy law firm acting for Banks and financial institutions.
• Wide knowledge of the regulatory environment in Kenya.

? Organlse, manage and motivate the available human capital within the Treasury Operations and Trade Finance Department through the establishment

? Ensure that treasury functions fully comply with the bank’s credit policy, ALCO policy, AML policy and the Bank of Tanzania guidelines and appropriate
provisions of the Banking Act In respect of treasury operations.
? Put in place an MIS system that will enable continuous tracking of the department’s performance, monitoring of customer satisfaction, and provision of
management and external reports.
Pro actively manage risk within the unit.
? As a member of the management team, take a proactive role In Influencing policy and strategic direction of the bank.
Qualifications and experience required:
University degree or equivalent is essential. Relevant professional qualification in banking, dealing. accounting or trade finance will be an added
advantage.
• Full awareness and appreciation of profit dynamics in banking.
• Experience. awareness and appreciation of all aspects of balance sheet management in banking.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• At least five years of experience in treasury operations and exposure to sophisticated treasury products.
• At least two years of experience and exposure in trade finance.

? Carry out the Identified continuous audit reviews and report on the results at the agreed Intervals.
? Work together with the External Auditors on the annual confirmation of customer accounts balances and bank-wide end of year cash count and compile
a report on this exercise.
? Assist In follow up and disposal of cleared Issues logged from previous audits.
Qualifications and experience’required:
? University degree preferably in accountancy, finance or business administration.
? Qualified as CPA, CIA ACCA or equivalent. Banking professional qualifications an advantage .
• Three years’ experience In Intemal audit or training with a professional finn of practicing accountants for at least two years.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Grid System monitoring to ensure that a continuous and reliable flow of electric power supply from generating plants to various places of grid destination and distribution points are maintained.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Collect all necessary initial technical data in the daily log sheets and defect register book.
Issue permits to work, limitation of access, sanction of test after proper Isolation of equipment at switch yard before people start working to ensure highest safety standards are observed and maintained all the times in order to preserve life and property.
Maintain close liaison with Grid Control Centre (SCADA), Generating plants stations and other grid substation Operators to ensure smooth restoration of power supply in case of System power failure.
Report a day recorded shift events to System control Supervisor to ensure the higher authority get informed for record and action.
PROFESSIONAL AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
FTC in Electrical Engineering or holder of (Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering) NTA level 6 from a recognized Institute OR
Relevant Technical Vocational Training (Trade Test) from recognized Vocational Training Institutions.
Working experience will be an added advantage.
Ability to work outside normal hours, weekends and holidays to support “24/7” real time operations.
REMUNERATION
An attractive compensation package based on performance and commensurate with the responsibility will apply to successful candidates. All positions’ terms of employment are performance based contracts.
