Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in mining Engineering
Experience: Production Engineer experienced in UG environment including monitoring compliance to plan, compilation of monthly plans, issuing mining instructions & designs and scheduling of UG development and stopping areas
Purpose of the role: To be involved in all the underground planning processes, to support the mining operation, including the assessment of alternatives to improve the operation. Ensure compliance to standards.
Safety

• Ensure all designs and planning activities complies to mine safety standards.
• Adherence to work place inspection and task observation schedule.
Planning
• Assist Mining Engineer III and Planning Superintendent in LOM and 18 month rolling plan generation.
Designing of all underground development ends and stopes on a continuous basis as new geological information becomes available.
• Responsible for preparation of 3 Month Schedule (3MS) including updating of cost forecast.
• Updating and issuing of AMD (Advanced Mine Designs) on a continuous basis – in accordance with mine standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives wrt systems and process.
• Participate in 7/21 schedule generation by contractor and advise on adherence to three monthly schedule.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental policies and strategies are incorporated in mining plans and are undertaken in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Assist other Technical Services sections in execution of duties.
• Ensure all contract required services are provided on-time.
Production
• Monitor contractor’s adherence to three monthly schedules.
Assist Underground Manager and Planning Superintendent in generation of monthly and weekly report including reconciliations against budget and forecasts.
• Attend daily AUMS production meeting to respond to any queries on behalf of production engineering and planning.
• Quantify, record and report all amendments and deviations to I from plan within 24hr to, supervisor on approved template.
• Daily tracking and verification of contractors progress on tracking sheets.
• Monthly compilation of all physicals including ground support
Additional Requirement
• Have at least 5 years’ experience in underground operations – designs and planning.
• Be willing to work on a rotating day shift roster.
• Computer literate in Studio 501 Mine 2-40 and EPS.
• AEGIS experience would be advantageous.
• Must be dynamic and have a pro-active approach to challenges provided. Disciplined individual required with good work ethics.
• Must have good written and oral communication skills in English Language.
• Computer Literate – Proficiency in Microsoft Office products – specifically Excel. ; .
• Able to drive and hold a current Tanzanian Driver’s License.
• Able to show initiative and co-ordination skills and be able to interact with Mining Technical & Production personnel (UG) Contractors.

Based on the established policies, guidelines and service level agreements (SLAs), the role of the incumbent is to exercise a large scope of ICT functional accountability and internally manage complex ICT systems and operations and externally enhance collaboration and capacity building; improve the delivery of results and knowledge management; build business relationships and foster innovation.
Key Expected Results
1. Manage ICT function and provide technical and operational support
 
  • Manage ICT and supervise Staff to enable the implementation of corporate ICT priorities, solutions and services;
  • Prepare ICT related plans, budget, set priorities and performance indicators as well as yearend assessment, reviews and reporting;
  • Safeguard the physical and logical security and safety of ICT environment and infrastructure;
  • Provide quality assurance projects and activities in accordance with ICT functional accountabilities.
  • Monitor risks and threats to ICT environment or infrastructure and take appropriate action;
  • Manage compliance and escalate exceptions (proactive) and deviations (reactive);
  • Manage ICT-related communication materials internally, from NYHQ, GSSC or regional office;
  • Support the office business continuity plans development and ensure the inclusion of ICT inputs and perspective;
  • Act as UNICEF focal point for inter-agency activities;
  • Liaise with regional office, GSSC and ITSS to keep abreast of new initiatives and opportunities to innovate and modernize office operations and to contribute to the collective ICT evolution;
  • Validate the compliance with the host government regulatory requirements vis-a-vis the Basic Cooperation Agreement (BCA), i.e., data collection of sensitive information or personally identifiable information (PII), telecommunications licenses, use of specialized equipment, such as HF/VHF radios, high-gain antennae, satellite phones, VSATs, VOIP, drones, etc.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PROVIDING CONSULTING SERVICES FOR DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF CONSTRUCTION OF TANZANIA REVENUE AUTHORITY HEADQUARTER OFFICE BUILDING
 1. The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has set aside funds from its Budget for the year 2016/2017 for the provision of             consulting services for the design and supervision of construction of TRA Headquarter office building in Dar es Salaam.
 2.  Tanzania Revenue Authority now invites Expression of Interest from eligible Consultants to indicate their competence and        readiness to undertake the consulting services for the provision of consultancy services for design and supervision of                construction of TRA Headquarter office building in Dar es Salaam.
 3. The scope of works in this project shall include the following:
                 i.  Soil investigations
  ii. Articulation of demolition procedure to remove existing structures from site
 iii. Articulation of undertaking both EIA  and SEIA
iv. Conceptualisation and designing
v.  Preparation of working drawings (architectural, structural and services).
vi. Preparation of all the necessary bidding documents
vii.  Supervising the work to completion
4.  Consultants may associate in one Consortium for the purpose of enhancing their capacity in executing the contract. In              assessing the Expression of Interest, consideration will be given to the following aspects:
  1. The profile and technical competence of the consultant;
  2. Individual qualification, experience and reliability of the proposed staff;
  3. Experience of undertaking similar projects in the last ten (10) years;
  4. Knowledge of local conditions; and
  5. Any other relevant information.
5.  This is a mere invitation for Expression of Interest to show the Consultant’s readiness.
6. After the review of Expression of Interest, short-listed Consultants will be invited to submit their proposals through letters of     invitation which will include relevant Requests for Proposal.
7. Interested consultants may obtain further information from 08.00 to 17.00 hours local time (Monday to Friday) exclusive of     public holidays in the office of the Secretary of the TRA Tender Board, TRA Headquarters Building, Ground Floor, and Room       No. G15 along Sokoine Drive, Dar es Salaam.
8. The Consultants will be selected in accordance with the National Competitive Selection Procedure as set out in the Public           Procurement (Part IX: Procedures for Selection and Employment of Consultants) Regulations, 2013 and the Government         Notice No. 48 Volume 94 dated 20thDecember, 2013.
9. Sealed envelopes containing Expression of Interest sent by post must be registered and clearly marked:

10. Expression of Interest will be opened in public and in presence of Consultants’ representatives, who choose to attend in           the Board Room located on the 3rd floor of the TRA Headquarters Building located along the Sokoine Drive, Dar es Salaam         at 10.00 am local time on Friday, 03rd June, 2016.
      Telegraphic, faxed and late submission of expression of interest will be rejected and shall not be considered for evaluation.
