Acacia Mining seeks to appoint a dedicated, self motivated and highly organized Training Officers, and Civil Engineer; for its Buzwagi Gold Mine. Below are the details for the openings

JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (1 Post)

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role of this position includes:
• Develop Conceptual designs in conjunction with Project Owners or other stakeholders
• Project scope preparation including engineering specifications for tendering purposes
• Minor designs and design approvals of external Engineering vendor scope
• General performance management of Engineering vendor
• Schedule Preparation and resource forecasting for specific engineering activities including tracking
• Ensure accuracy of financial forecasts which tie-in to Project schedules
• Contractor and Construction Management in accordance to a valid, executed contract, per company policies and procedures and work ethics.
• Inter-discipline coordination and overall quality control of engineering work
• Conducting progress review and safety meetings with contractors as per schedule.
• Provide guidance to supervisors during project construction with respect to maintaining safety at tie-in points and other construction maneuvers. .
• Manage routine administrative work related to project team and contractors including mobilization and demobilization.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning tests and operational activities.

Reporting Line: Section Leader Capital Project
Rotational Status: 42 days on; 21 days off.
Location: Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 To manage
• Daily progress review meetings with project team and contractors as per the schedule,
• Efficient use of Company Construction and financial resources
• Managing and coordinating with contractors and Project Team on day to day basis.

 To ensure
• Cost effective designed Projects
• Potential cost saving areas and operations while executing projects are fully exploited
• Zero - Incident free Project Construction sites.
• All Job safety analysis and Risk assessment are carried out
• Ensuring engineering details and design are as per international standards.
• Timely completion of issuing the enquiries, contract finalization, placing orders for the bought-out items.
• BGM safety standards are maintained at project site

 To develop
• Supervision to acceptable standard.
• Quality Control plan of all projects. '
• Detail designs and drawings based on engineers guideline
• Continuous improvement of systems and team work

 PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS
• Education
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Registered with Engineers Registration Board (Tanzania) Ltd

Experience and Skills
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Experience
• Minimum 2 Years in Mining will be added advantage
• Must have good spatial cognitive skills including hazard identification
• Must be able to train others.
• Must be able to motivate supervisor and all tradesmen to acquire desired objective.
• Must respect directives and instruction given by seniors
