Pharmacy
Council is a body corporate established under the Pharmacy Act Cap. 311
responsible for regulation of pharmacy practices including issuance of
licenses and permits to pharmacy businesses in Tanzania. The Council has
the following vacancies for which suitably qualified candidates are
invited to apply.
1.Position : Human Resource Officer
Duty Station : Dar es Salaam
Reports to :Registrar
Overall Responsibility
The Human Resources Officer reports to the Registrar and shall be responsible to assist the Council and its Management on providing HR services linked to Council needs and objectives.
Required Qualifications
University degree .or its equivalent in Public Administration, Personnel
Management, Human Resource Management, Sociology or Business
Administration with minimum of three (3) years working experience.
Demonstrated ability to implement and manage all aspects of the HRM function in line with current practices and trends
Demonstrated ability to gain the trust and confidence of colleagues and to handle confidential matters discreetly and resolve conflict
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail ‘
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Swahili
Demonstrated computer proficiencies, including Microsoft Office, especially
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct surveys to determine human resource requirements and market trends
Collects, compile and update human resource data
Assists in recruitment and selection processes
Identifies training needs of the Council
Prepares human resource planning and training programs
Assists in conducting staff performance appraisal
Handling of disciplinary matters
Assists in preparation of Council’s incentive schemes
Assists in carrying out in-house training program
Performs any other duties assigned by the Registrar.
