Human Resource Officer – Pharmacy Council


Pharmacy Council is a body corporate established under the Pharmacy Act Cap. 311 responsible for regulation of pharmacy practices including issuance of licenses and permits to pharmacy businesses in Tanzania. Overall Responsibility
The Human Resources Officer reports to the Registrar and shall be responsible to assist the Council and its Management on providing HR services linked to Council needs and objectives.

Required Qualifications
University degree .or its equivalent in Public Administration, Personnel
Management, Human Resource Management, Sociology or Business
Administration with minimum of three (3) years working experience.

  • Receiving of materials from suppliers and ensure that the quality and quaintly correspond to the given specification and store in a safe place.
  • Issue materials by insuring that the quantity corresponds with the approved store issuing voucher.
  • Posting of both receive /issue voucher to ensure stock balance corresponds with received/issued items.
  • Key in materials in iSCALA system to ensure correct data control.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To service and repair of Power Plant Motor vehicles,station road equipment , execute planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance, Troubleshooting, installing, servicing and repair of generating sets and their accessories according to Company policies and regulations .
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • To ensure preventive maintenance of all vehicles and station road equipments is carried out as scheduled.
  • To prepare initial maintenance report and keep record of all preventive maintenance carried out.
  • To advise Mechanical Engineer on matters regarding major repairs and overhaul of the vehicles and keep record of breakdown maintenance carried out for each vehicle.
  • To visit the stores and report the status of availability of spare parts and arrange for early procurement of consumable items for the motor vehicles
  • To supervise motor vehicle mechanics to ensure each one is fully engaged to his/her duty.
  • To ensure there is high standard of cleanliness of the workshop buildings and Power Station compounds

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for maintenance of motor vehicles and heavy duty Earth mover’s electrical system at the station and ensure that systems are in perfect working condition
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Ensure Industrial and workshop safety regulation
  • Maintain motor vehicle records pertaining service and repair
  • Ensure that all electrical systems on station vehicle are working properly by
 carrying out required preventive, and corrective measures.
  • Ensure station road equipments (wheel bucket loader, motor grader roller compactor) are properly working by carrying out required preventive and corrective checks.
  • Advise workshop supervisor on the requirement of spare parts, modification needed and other related measures to ensure continuous availability, reliability of station vehicles and road equipments.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • VETA Trade Test Grade II or equivalent in Auto Electrician /Electronics

Context/Scope:

Serengeti Breweries Ltd (SBL) operates exclusively in Tanzania and is the 2nd largest beer company with a market share of 25%. SBL is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Ltd (EABL) – which is in turn partly owned by one of the world’s biggest alcoholic beverage companies, Diageo. The company is an integrated demand/supply business with 3 operational breweries in Dar Es Salaam, Mwanza, and a third one in Moshi, which is situated in the northern part of the country near the Kenyan border. SBL’s flagship brand is Premium Serengeti lager, which accounts for 50% of SBL sales volumes. The other beer brands are Tusker, Guinness, Tusker Malt, Kick and Pilsner.
SBL has 3 fully operational breweries in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi with a combined capacity of 1.3m Hls. Moshi has a capacity of c600khls per annum and a scope to expand to more than 1 million in F14.
Brewing Department in SBL Moshi Brewery undertakes most of the duties meant to convert Brewing Raw materials to Beer. It operates closely with Departments like Procurement, Finance and Human Resources, but even more closer to the Packaging and Quality assurance Departments in Producing quality products at optimum time and at highest Efficiency. Shift Brewer is the coordination centre of the related activities on shift basis.

Purpose of Role:

To manage a Brewing Shift Team to be able to produce quality beer at optimum cost in most efficient manner at a safest way while maintaining a good team morale.
