The United Nations is looking for highly qualified candidates who are ready to launch a professional career as an international civil servant. The young professionals programme (YPP) is a recruitment initiative that brings new talent to the United Nations through an annual entrance examination. For young, high-calibre professionals across the globe, the examination is a platform for launching a career at the United Nations. This programme builds upon the national competitive recruitment examination (NCRE) which was held for the last time in 2010.
Eligibility Requirements
Do you hold at least a first-level university degree?
Are you 32 or younger by the end of this year?
Do you speak either English and/or French fluently?
Are you a national of a participating country?
Participating Countries
The examination is held worldwide and is open to nationals of countries participating in the annual recruitment exercise – the list of participating countries is published annually and varies from year to year.
Participation of staff of the United Nations
This examination is also held for staff members of the United Nations Secretariat who work within the General Service and other related categories and aspire to a career within the Professional and higher categories. Exam Structure
The examination tests your substantive knowledge, analytical thinking, drafting abilities, as well as your awareness of international affairs.
Recruitment Procedure
Initially you will be appointed for two years and then be reviewed for a continuing appointment. The Organization promotes mobility within and across duty stations and job families. As a new recruit you are expected to work in a different duty station for your second assignment. You will be offered orientation and mobility training as well as career support. This will help you adapt and accelerate the learning period leading to productive work and job satisfaction as an international civil servant.

Twiga Bancorp Limited (TBCL) is a fast growing Non-Bank Financial Institution established under the Banking and Financial Institution Act (1991). The Institution has five Branches, two in Dar es Salaam and one each in Arusha, Dodoma and Mwanza. The Institution also operates Sub-Branch activities at the Julius Nyerere International Airport, Kilimanjaro International Airport, Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy in Kigamboni – Dar es Salaam as well as a service outlet in Bunda – Mara Region.

JOB TITLE: Sales Officer (2 Posts)

JOB SUMMARY
Sales Officer will focus on planning and executing sales activities targeting to grow both deposit and loan book while focusing on recruiting clients and raising portfolio/deposit volume. In addition to focusing on deposit. and loan book, the Sales Officer will also promote and conducts sales on all other products and services offered by Twiga Bancorp Limited (TBCL) as well as delivery channels (e.g. ATM’s and mobile banking)
The Sales Officer will promote and conduct sales activities, that reaches out to potential clients, and mobilize deposit and loan book in terms of numbers and volume from the field and recruit qualified loans clients. .
Sales Officer is responsible for branch sales activities and recruitment of deposit and credit clients as well as managing money transfer services and all delivery channels on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Clients Recruitment: Plan and execute sales activities that will result in deposit and credit/loan book clients recruitment, and ensure clients are well informed with all TBCL offering including money transfer and delivery channels (ATM, mobile banking, branches and agency)
Strategic Plan: Partner with Sales Supervisor/Branch Manager and branch team to develop weekly and monthly action plans with regard to sales events and recruitment of clients and mobilizing deposit as well as raising loan book
Market studies: Maintain a good knowledge of his/her assigned market area and understanding of clients’ needs and competing products. Research and develop new business opportunities within assigned geographical zone and remain informed about the competition and its offering
Products/Services: Market all TBCL products and services to potential clients by using promotional tools and mechanisms approved by TBCL management
Deposit:’ Responsible to sale and achieve the personal deposit daily, weekly, monthly and yearly targets both, in numbers and volumes. Follow up and make sure that the accounts activated under own portfolio is actively used by the customers and also, responsible for acquiring deposit potential customers and ensure that they open account with TBCK.
Loans Book: Responsible for promoting and recruiting clients and ensure that clients are well informed and feel the necessary forms to apply for loans offered by TBCL
Reporting: Prepare and present sales reports to Sales Supervisor
Branch manager on activities executed, their outcome, and areas covered.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
University degree in Sales & Marketing, Community Development, Finance, Economics or any other related field
Working in a client-facing sales role, in educational profession, banking, microfinance or telecommunication industry is highly desired
Strong Sales and Negotiation skills, strong writing, reading and comprehension skills and attention to details
Must have at least five (5) years working experience
Strong customer orientation.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Sales activities planned and executed
Number of depositors and loan book clients recruited
Deposit volume and loan book portfolio raised
Execution of Personal Sales Plan and deposit and loan book targets realized
Clients retention increased and number of dormant account activated
