Job Description
Finance and Administration Officer Vacancy.
We are a nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives of children and families around the world. We focus on early childhood care and education, children’s rights, empowerment of women and girls, maternal/child health, and grassroots community development.
The successful applicant will have a total of 3 years’ experience in Administration/Finance/Marketing having worked in a similar position.
Key Functions For the Finance and Administration Officer Job.
Assist in the coordination of events held, geared at increasing awareness of courses offered in Helix and increasing the uptake of participants
Frequently maintain contact and gather feedback from clients and participants on our client relationship management (CRM) database
Facilitate and coordinate the travel logistics and in country stay for all course participants during course seasons
Compile feedback forms, lessons learnt and action plans for each course
Coordinate and handle the administrative logistics around staff when going for training
Track domain expenses and periodically give status reports
Manage the internal training calendar for the team
Update internal trackers , smart sheets and sites as guided
Streamline and ensure efficient in administrative activities within the organization.
Work closely with finance team for quarterly reports and tracking
Assist in monitoring, reporting and invoicing of various projects within the Aggressor.
Coordinate internal events and activities
Qualities & Skills: This position requires a well-organized, self-motivated individual with strong prioritization skills to effectively and efficiently carry out the desired duties and responsibilities.

Job Purpose:

The Registrar, EAC Competition Authority shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the EAC Competition Authority and be responsible for the day to day management of the EAC Competition Authority subject to the directives of the Commissioners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Registrar, EAC Competition Authority shall perform the following functions: –
  1. He/she will be the Chief Executive Officer of the EAC Competition Authority;
  2. He/she will be the Secretary to the Commissioners of the EAC Competition Authority;
  3. Provide advice to Commissioners, on key strategic, legal and economic matters;
  4. Manage staff of the EAC Competition Authority and provide strategic direction;
  5. Initiate and coordinate development of policies and strategies on competition matters in EAC;
  6. Represent the EAC Competition Authority in industry and Government, regionally and internationally;
  7. Work and cooperate with Partner States competition authorities, consumer protection agencies and other stakeholders on matters of competition policy and consumer protection;
  8. Establish systems, procedures and institutional processes of the EAC Competition Authority;
  9. Work to raise the profile and public perception of the EAC Competition Authority;
  10. Develop mechanisms and systems for enforcement of EAC Competition Act, 2006, in the EAC Customs Union and Common Market;
  11. Establish strategic collaboration and partnerships with national and international competition agencies on matters related to competition and resource mobilization;
  12. Liaise and work closely with other EAC organs and particularly the Secretariat on policy and Budget development and execution;
  13. Present Board papers to the Commissioners in regard to operations of the Authority;
  14. Develop and present Reports to the EAC Council of Ministers from time to time; and,
  15. Undertake any other duties assigned by the Commissioners from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must at least have a Masters in Economics or Law or Business Management or a related field. Specialized training in competition matters will be an added advantage.
Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in either competition policy and law, or consumer protection, or trade or a related field, ten (10) years of which must be at a senior level. Must have a high level management experience and a proven track record of leadership in a significant area of either competition regulation, or sectoral/ market regulation, or commercial regulation at national level or regional level

i. Good knowledge and understanding of the EAC economic integration agenda.
ii. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to influence multi-stakeholder processes;
iii. Excellent analytical skills particularly in interpreting, using, analyzing and presenting data and evidence; and,

1.1 BACKGROUND
The Government through the Public Service Reform Programme (PSRP) established Occupational Safety and Health Authority under the Executive Agency Act No. 30 of 1997. Occupational Safety and Health Agency was officially launched on 31st August, 2001. It has been set up with the aim of improving the health and wellbeing of workers and of workplaces. This will be achieved by promoting occupational safety and health (OSH) practices in order to prevent occupational injuries and diseases and ultimately achieve better productivity. The primary objective of the Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) is to ensure creation and maintenance of ideal work environments which are free from occupational hazards that may cause injuries or illness to all employees in work environment. This will be achieved by promoting occupational health and safety practices in order to reduce accidents and occupational diseases, and ultimately achieve better productivity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Executive is the Agency’s Accounting Officer and shall specifically be responsible for:
i. Preparation and submission of strategic business plans and associated budgets;
ii. Implementation of the approved plans, including the achievement of performance targets;
iii. Organization and Management of the assets and resources allocated to the Agency efficiently, effectively, economically and in accordance with the principle of fairness and equality as outlined in the Executive Agencies Act and its Regulations;
iv. Management and allocation of the assets and resources allocated to the Agency;
v. Preparation and provision of Agency performance reports and financial statements to the Permanent Secretary;
vi. Ensuring that all aspects of the management and organization are kept under review and they suit OSHA’s business needs;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleaning of laboratory equipment and arrangement of instruments
- Supervision of cleaning of the laboratory
- Cleanliness status labeling of instruments and benches
- Weighing of samples and preparation of reagents
- Perform simple analysis using simple parameters under supervision
- Recording results prepare reports and submit to the superiors
- Prepare reports and submit to superiors
- To perform any other duties that they may be assigned by superiors

QUALIFICATION:
Holder of form IV Secondary Education Certificate and Certificate in Laboratory Assistant from any recognized Universities or institutions or who has acquired Trade Test Grade Three (III) or Level One from VETA.

2.0.12 POST: INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
OFFICER-Four (4) posts
DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM 2, Mbeya 1 and Arusha 1
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To allocate MIS resources to users
- To monitor use of MIS resources
- To develop and review Webpages for TFDA websites
- To prepare and maintain computer systems backups
- To develop application software as may be required
- To develop and maintain TFDA communication network, application System and databases
- To provide technical support to ICT system users
- To develop various reports as may require by users
- To carry out any other duties related to the above as may assigned by superiors.

QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor degree either in Computer Science, Information Technology or its equivalent from recognized Universities or Institutions.

2.0.13 POST: DRUG REGISTRATION OFFICER-Four (4) posts
DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To review and evaluate documentation of product applied for Registration
To evaluate generic medicines, cosmetics, medical devices and promotional materials applied for registration
To prepare and submit evaluation and progress reports to head of section
To update the relevant product registration database
To attend and respond to customer enquiries related to product registration
To perform any other duties related to the above as may be assigned by superiors

QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor Degree either in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Bio-Medical Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Laboratory Technology, Microbiology,
Pharmacology, Toxicology, Biotechnology or related field from recognized Universities or institutions
